Who are we?

Fundación Verón is a non-profit organisation based in Spain, working since 2015 to promote and manage educational projects aimed at improving the training and overall development of young people at extreme risk of poverty or exclusion, to facilitate their social and labour integration. We firmly believe that education is the most effective element for transforming and improving society, and fostering its stable and sustainable development. Currently, our training efforts are focused on one of the most disadvantaged areas of Honduras.

Values that govern our work

Transparency and good governance:

We always take great care to act transparently in our management and to report regularly to our partners and to the general public. Our annual accounts are audited by external professionals, and our management practices are reviewed periodically and externally based on principles of transparency and good governance.

Independence:

Fundación Verón does not maintain any dependent relationship with any political, union, religious, or economic group. We only form a non-profit association aimed at implementing educational projects.

Education:

Accessible, fair, equitable, egalitarian, and of the highest quality, which ensures the comprehensive development of our students.

Zero discrimination:

We respect the culture of the communities to which we direct our actions, and we do not engage in any form of discrimination based on race, culture, gender, ideology, or religion.

Team work:

We positively value relationships with other institutions and combined efforts in specific initiatives. We have demonstrated our willingness to collaborate by working with partner organisations, and we participate widely and actively on various platforms and networks to complement our work.

Professionalism:

We maintain a high level of quality in our work, always seeking rigor, seriousness, and professionalism from our team.

Proximity and participation:

We promote closeness, openness, participation, and dialogue, both in internal relationships (partners, collaborators, volunteers, staff, etc.) and with local partners, other foundations and NGOs, media outlets, funding institutions, and other entities.
