Finite resources, infinite needs.

Help us be part of the change

«1,2 millones de niños no tienen acceso a la educación en Honduras.»

Loyola Technical Centre

Loyola is a technical education centre located in the centre of the city of El Progreso. We have been collaborating with them since 2013, the year they welcomed us to continue our projects while the current Glass School was still being built.

Currently, they have 350 students between the ages of 15 and 25 who need access to quality education and decent job placement.

We support Loyola every year with improvements to its infrastructure, educational materials, and equipment for the better development of its projects and beneficiaries.

New workshops

At the end of 2023, we renovated the Lahat workshop to convert it into five classrooms in order to accommodate more students at the Glass School.

We moved the Lahat workshop to the Loyola Technical Centre, which is much more accessible for clients and where we can develop new techniques by implementing knowledge in steel and welding (techniques that Loyola has been studying for years).

In this way, we group the students together to foster mutual enrichment and growth for both entities.

Classroom furniture

When creating 5 completely new classrooms, we needed to equip them from scratch. Thanks to this project, in 2024, we have been able to accommodate 15 more students annually.

We created two classrooms for theoretical classes, one for the baking studies, another for the cafeteria, and one for Diana's office (the coordinator of the Cooking and Tourism program).

Volunteering

For us, it is essential to promote the project and for professionals, both from the techniques we implement and from other fields, to share their knowledge with the students of the School.

This is why we receive annual visits from volunteers, both for the Technical Studies and for communication and support in proposals for environmental improvements.

In 2024, we will have 8 visits to the Glass School.

Aid to a Ukrainian Family

Since 2022, we have been supporting a family of refugees living in Madrid. Natalia, Kristina, Anastasia, and Andrii have been struggling for these years to find decent work in Madrid while the situation remains as it is.

They have made significant progress over the years, and currently, we help them with 50% of the cost of their apartment; however, there is still a way to go for them to become independent.

Communication Campaigns

Verón is, without a doubt, 100% communication. We strive to keep all our donors and followers informed.

We create events, seek new ways to communicate our work, and put a lot of effort into social media so that you can see in the most engaging and transparent way what is being done in Honduras.

School Collaborations

We give talks at schools, presenting our documentary and explaining the reasons behind our projects and their origins.

We emphasise the importance of young people who are the same age as our beneficiaries understanding the reality of other countries.

The communication effort always goes hand in hand with funding; it is impossible to get people to collaborate if they are not closely familiar with the project and its needs.
