La Escuela del Vidrio ha realizado diferentes actividades en estos \u00faltimos 3 meses, en las cuales se han involucrado padres de familia, estudiantes maestros y la comunidad en general. En este Newsletter les contamos las actividades\u00a0m\u00e1s importantes del \u00faltimo trimestre.<\/p>\n
En el pasado mes de noviembre pudimos culminar nuestras actividades escolares del a\u00f1o 2015, y logramos ya la segunda promoci\u00f3n de nuestros T\u00c9CNICOS EN VIDRIO. En la comunidad realizamos las visitas a los hogares para conocer las situaciones familiares y hacer un sondeo de j\u00f3venes con los deseos de superaci\u00f3n. Camalote est\u00e1 rodeada de otras comunidades vecinas que tambi\u00e9n se incluyen en el marco geogr\u00e1fico, donde encontramos j\u00f3venes con los deseos de estudiar entre ellas est\u00e1n la Comunidad de Centenario, La Rub\u00ed, 31 de Enero y Tapiquilare. En compa\u00f1\u00eda de algunos alumnos y maestros nos fuimos a la b\u00fasqueda de nuevos estudiantes que llenar\u00e1n esos requisitos. En los inicios de diciembre realizamos \u00a0pre-matr\u00edcula para los j\u00f3venes de primer ingreso, y realizamos las entrevistas socioecon\u00f3micas con los estudiantes que fueron preseleccionados.<\/p>\n
Contarles que los j\u00f3venes de Taller LAHAT realizaron un trabajo espectacular al dise\u00f1ar la vidriera solicitada por la Parroquia las Mercedes de la Ciudad de El Progreso, la cual hoy en d\u00eda podemos apreciar y\u00a0 valorar el trabajo que realizan estos j\u00f3venes y saber que realmente son unos profesionales en su \u00e1rea. Tambi\u00e9n elaboraron un pedido para el Caf\u00e9 de las Velas, un negocio de artesan\u00edas en Ruinas de Cop\u00e1n, dando comienzo de su labor como profesionales.<\/p>\n
En el mes de diciembre y enero se les brind\u00f3 una capacitaci\u00f3n al personal docente de la escuela para prepararlos en el \u00e1rea tecnol\u00f3gica – TIC educativas – antes de comenzar el a\u00f1o escolar 2016.<\/p>\n
En el mes de enero comenzamos con la matr\u00edcula del a\u00f1o 2016. Para este a\u00f1o tuvimos mucha afluencia de j\u00f3venes con los deseos de superaci\u00f3n, tambi\u00e9n gracias al atractivo de una nueva modalidad de Gastronom\u00eda, Hoteler\u00eda y Turismo (GHT); adicional a eso tambi\u00e9n agregamos a nuestro plan educativo el Ciclo Com\u00fan b\u00e1sico. Quedando como resultado 32 nuevos estudiantes que pasan a formar parte de la gran familia de la Escuela del Vidrio. Poco a poco nuestra escuela se hace parte de la comunidad y de la historia en la vida de nuestros j\u00f3venes hondure\u00f1os.<\/p>\n
La educaci\u00f3n es un trabajo de todos<\/u> <\/strong>y para efecto de eso nos reunimos con los padres de familia de los nuevos estudiantes para darles a conocer cu\u00e1l es la importancia de la educaci\u00f3n y mostrarles los beneficios que los j\u00f3venes obtendr\u00e1n estudiando en la escuela, al igual que involucrarlos en el proceso de aprendizaje de sus hijos. Porque la educaci\u00f3n es un trinomio Padres + Escuela + Estudiantes.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Inauguramos el a\u00f1o escolar 2016, el 29 de enero con la presencia de padres de familia y alumnos, en la cual tuvimos diferentes actividades dentro del programa,\u00a0 como ser elecci\u00f3n de la Junta Directiva de Padres de Familia, presentaci\u00f3n de los estudiantes de nuevo ingreso y din\u00e1micas con los padres de familia e invitados.<\/p>\n Ese mismo d\u00eda hicimos entrega del material escolar a los j\u00f3venes de nuestra escuela. Para este a\u00f1o nuestra poblaci\u00f3n estudiantil es la siguiente: 16 de Primero de Gastronom\u00eda, Hoteler\u00eda y Turismo (GHT), y 16 de Primero T\u00e9cnico en vidrio; en II a\u00f1o de Vidrio tenemos 15 y III de Vidrio 10; y en el Programa de Aprendizaje de Taller LAHAT de Vidrio tenemos 13 j\u00f3venes.<\/p>\n Y lo m\u00e1s esperado para nuestros j\u00f3venes lleg\u00f3 el primero de febrero: \u00a1Iniciaron las clases en nuestra escuela! ven\u00edan llenos de expectativas y metas para este nuevo a\u00f1o. Los estudiantes han mostrado hasta este momento un gran inter\u00e9s por los estudios y podemos verlo al momento de recibir cada una de sus clases. Los estudiantes de Vidrio han experimentado el uso de la maquinaria y el desarrollo y creatividad de nuevas cosas que est\u00e1n a su alcance. Han logrado incorporarse a la Escuela de la mejor manera. Disfrutan estar en los talleres de Vidrio aprendiendo cada d\u00eda mas lo que el maestro ense\u00f1a.\u00a0Los estudiantes de Gastronom\u00eda (GHT) se involucraron r\u00e1pidamente con el personal y cabe desatacar que son muy responsables en todas las responsabilidades que le son asignadas, al igual que todos los estudiantes de nuestra escuela.<\/p>\n Este a\u00f1o dimos la apertura del laboratorio de Ingles donde cada uno de los estudiantes disfruta sus clases con m\u00e1s comodidad teniendo un equipo audiovisual, de manera que sientan que no es una barrera del idioma ingles y que ellos lo pueden superar.<\/p>\n Los j\u00f3venes del taller LAHAT ya comenzaron su labor de microempresa elaborando muestras de nuevos productos y a elaborar un plan de acci\u00f3n para tener nuevos mercados para comercializar el producto. Cada uno forma parte de la directiva en la Microempresa, son 13 j\u00f3venes que forman parte de la Microempresa y que est\u00e1n demostrando todo lo que aprendieron durante sus tres a\u00f1os de preparaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica y que ahora es el momento de ver cada una de las ideas y de lo que son capaces de hacer. Tres de estos j\u00f3venes ya est\u00e1n fungiendo como monitores en los talleres de la Escuela, porque si hay algo que nos caracteriza es que creemos en lo que hacemos y en los estudiantes que formamos.<\/p>\n [column size=\u00bbhalf\u00bb last=\u00bbyes\u00bb]<\/p>\n [\/column]<\/p>\n Different activities have been developed during the last three months at Escuela del Vidrio Project. Everyone was involved, from students, parents and members of our community. In this Newsletter we tell you the main actuvities of the last quarter.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Last November we could finish with success the school activities of 2015. Also we achieve to graduate the second promotion of Glass Technicians. We visited the households of the Camalote Community to realize about families situation and to\u00a0the youngsters who wanted to start studying at Escuela del Vidrio. Camalote community is surrounded by other communities in the same geographics frame, where we can find young people who really wish\u00a0to study, like: Centenario, La Rub\u00ed, 31 de Enero and Tapiquilare. Together with some of our students and teachers we went to look for new students who matched with Escuela del Vidrio requirements. Early December was the time to do the pre-incrptions and the socio-economic research of the pre-selected students (so we can confirm they need our help).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Before starting the new school year 2016, in December and January, a trainig about technology into teaching was given to the teaching team.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n In January we did the final inscrptions for 2016. This year we’ve got a large attendace of young people who wanted to study fro a self-improvement, also thanks to our new studies modality in Gastronomy, Hospitality and Tourism (GHT). Moreover this year we added the option of complying the Basic Complusory Education for those who need it. Finally it ended up with 32 new students who are now part of our big family. Little by little our Escuela del Education is everyone’s job<\/strong> and because of it we had a meeting with parents of our new students to show them the importance of Education and the benefits studies can give to their children, thanks to Escuela del Vidrio. In the same way we involved them into their youngsters learning process. Because Education is Parents + School + Students.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n We oppened 2016 school year on the 29th of January inviting all students and their families. We celebrated it with different activities like the ellections of the Government members of Parents Association, the presentation of the new students and some dynamics with the families and invited people.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n In the same day, we gave students their school educative materials for Escuela del Vidrio programs. This year our student population is: 16 students of 1st year in GHT, 16 students of 1st year of Glass Arts, 15 students of 2nd year in Glass Art Studies and 10 students of the 3rd year in Glass Arts. In the Apprenticeship Program we have 13th apprentices.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n And the greatly expected day arrived on the 1st of February: \u00a1They started the lessons at Escuela del Vidrio!. Students came full of expectations and goals for the new year. They’ve shown a big interest in studies and we could see it when they are in the class room. Glass Arts students experimented the use of a machinery and the developement and creative design. They are really enjoying the practical lessons at the Glass Workshops and learning day by day. GHT students got involved very quickly with the teachers and, we want to underline, they feel very responsible of every task, as every student in our school.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n This year 2016 we open the English laboratory where every student can enjoy the lessons thanks to audiovisual facilities. This way they feel it more accesible and easy.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n LAHAT Glass Workshop apprentices started this year their labor as a microenterprise, elaborating a display of products to show and an action plan to get new markets to commercialize the product. Each one of them is a member of the Government of the microenterprise (treasurer, president, etc.). They are 13 youngsters and they are demonstrating all they’ve learned during the three years of technical studies in glass arts. Now is the moment to see their ideas and their abilty. Even, three of them are now assisting as monitors at the workshops at Escuela del Vidrio to teach the others. We are happy to tell you that the youngsters apprentices who conform LAHAT Glass Workshop designed and elaborated\u00a0an spectacular stained glass for the Mercedes Church at El Progreso City. Today we can go and appreciate their creation\u00a0and notice they are now veritable professionals. Moreover they had an order from Caf\u00e9 de las Velas, a nice craftworks business located at Ruinas de Cop\u00e1n.
